About

There are a lot of difficult issues that LDS women face and you can't always share them in Relief Society. This blog is a safe place to discuss all the things you've ever wanted to say in Relief Society, but can't.

Do you have a topic you'd like to see discussed? Email me at theunconventionalreliefsociety@gmail.com

  1. Yes, sexual abuse please! I have a blog: www.cordeliashappilyeverafter.blogspot.com and I know this is shameless self-promotion, except I keep it for myself to document my "overcoming sexual abuse" for myself and my daughter (we've both been abused even though I tried so hard to prevent it). My point is that it happens ALL the time, totally messes with your perceptions, and means you need to relate to a lot of stuff at church in a completely different way!

  2. And I'm fine if people don't read it, I just want to connect with more Mormon women going through all this and don't have many online blogs of Mormon women that I could find.

Great blog here, and much of what I've read is androgynous, but somebody needs to make an unconventional elders quorum.

  4. I would love to hear from other sisters dealing with infidelity and especially from sisters struggling with an excommunicated spouse. I have been sharing my own experiences at: myrootsrundeep.wordpress.com
