There are a lot of difficult issues that LDS women face and you can't always share them in Relief Society. This blog is a safe place to discuss all the things you've ever wanted to say in Relief Society, but can't.
Do you have a topic you'd like to see discussed? Email me at theunconventionalreliefsociety@gmail.com
Yes, sexual abuse please! I have a blog: www.cordeliashappilyeverafter.blogspot.com and I know this is shameless self-promotion, except I keep it for myself to document my "overcoming sexual abuse" for myself and my daughter (we've both been abused even though I tried so hard to prevent it). My point is that it happens ALL the time, totally messes with your perceptions, and means you need to relate to a lot of stuff at church in a completely different way!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm fine if people don't read it, I just want to connect with more Mormon women going through all this and don't have many online blogs of Mormon women that I could find.
ReplyDeleteGreat blog here, and much of what I've read is androgynous, but somebody needs to make an unconventional elders quorum.
ReplyDeleteI would love to hear from other sisters dealing with infidelity and especially from sisters struggling with an excommunicated spouse. I have been sharing my own experiences at: myrootsrundeep.wordpress.com
